16-year-old Moise Kouame chases his first pro title at M25 Creteil Futures

A week after turning 16, Moise Kouame is chasing his first professional title at the home M25 Creteil Futures. Moise reached his first professional final a week and he is off to a winning start at this week’s event. A teenager faced Loic Namigandet Tenguere in the first round.

The younger player earned a dominant 6-2, 6-1 victory in 57 minutes, sailing into the second round! Kouame served well, denying two break points in his only troubled service games and keeping the pressure on the other side. The 16-year-old created four break points.

He seized them to control the scoreboard and wrap up an impressive win with a double break in each set. Moise will face a stern test in the second round, battling against the top-300 player, Marat Sharipov.

The 16-year-old kicked off the duel with two fine holds on an indoor court. Kouame stepped in at 2-1 and broke Namigandet Tenguere after the rival’s loose forehand. A teenager cemented the break in style, holding at love and moving 4-1 up with a service winner.

Loic held at love in the sixth game, and Moise mirrored that in the next one for a 5-2 lead. The young gun made another push on the return in game eight and produced his second break after the rival’s forehand error for 6-2 and a boost.
