Tiger Woods’ team did not excel at the TGL, a competition created by him and Rory McIlroy in cooperation with the PGA Tour. Jupiter Links were not particularly good in their debut season, but Tiger Woods does not look at things negatively, marking this as a positive experience.
The 49-year-old golfer knew that his team didn’t have the best chance to make it to the playoffs, but Tiger obviously doesn’t worry too much about it.
In the last match of the season, Jupitem Links acted as if they had won the competition.
Tiger Woods and his teammates were smiling, positive and full of energy. Tiger pointed out that he is proud of this project, stressing that they had the greatest time. However, in the end, he admitted that he would like his team to play a little better.
“This is a good group of guys. We’d just like to play a little better,” -Woods said, as quoted by Fox Sports.
Tom Kim’s miss
Tiger Woods was enjoying the magic tonight, especially when Tom Kim prematurely celebrated the success of the shot as the ball rolled towards the hole, lifting his arms to the crowd. However, the ball lipped out, and Tom probably felt a great shame in those moments.
Tiger and Max Homa were shocked by this situation and started laughing.
In an interview with the media, Tom Kim pointed out that he did not expect to miss, but he is aware that it is too late now.
“I didn’t think it would miss,” Kim said.
“I really called it and I didn’t think it could miss.
It’s so unfortunate, I can’t take it back. The worst part of it is I looked behind. I just threw it and didn’t take my eyes off it, it wouldn’t have been as bad.”
We have no doubt that the next season could bring even more excitement factor just like this one.
