Alexander Bublik directly asked Corentin Moutet if he wanted to resolve their confrontation in a physical way outside of the court, new footage shot at the Phoenix Challenger reveals.
With the Kazakh 6-5 up in the third set of their Phoenix quarterfinal, he was ready to start serving for the match but had to stop for a moment after the Frenchman told him he wasn’t ready. The 27-year-old seemingly thought it was a provocative move and bluntly fired back at his rival, saying: “I don’t give a s—.”
Moutet: “I’m not ready”
Bublik: “I don’t give a sh*t”

In the next couple of minutes, Bublik went on to serve out for the match and then clashed with Moutet at the net. On ATP’s Challenger stream, there was only one angle so it wasn’t possible to get a closer look at it or hear what was being exchanged between the two. But now, there is video captured by someone from the front row.
Bublik to Moutet: You want to fight? Meet me outside in 10 minutes
“You want to fight? The French kid is speaking… He doesn’t want to fight. Let’s go. We meet in 10 minutes outside,” the Kazakh could be heard telling the Frenchman in the video.
At the same hour (IW) will begin the last match of the highest ranked Challenger in Phoenix [175], although such a cast | Bublik vs Fonseca | worthy of at least an ATP 250 event! ❤️🔥

This video confirms that Jack Sock was right. On this week’s episode of the Nothing Major Podcast, the former top-10 player claimed that he had information that Bublik wanted to fight Moutet in a parking lot after their incident.
“He offered it, Bublik said let’s go to the parking lot! He said, ‘Do you want to go… we can go to the parking lot right now.’ He goes, ‘Do you wanna fight?’ And Corentin Moutet, like, started laughing as if it was… but I think Bublik was like ready to take the gloves off and go,” Sock said on his podcast.
