Kristyna Pliskova announces second pregnancy

Inactive WTA player Kristyna Plískova is expecting her second child with husband David Hancko. The 33-year-old Czech tennis star made the announcement by sharing an intimate family photo on Instagram.

The former world No. 35 Pliskova, who hasn’t competed on the WTA Tour since the Astana Open in September 2021, took a step back from tennis to focus on family life. She and her husband, Slovak footballer David Hancko, welcomed their first child, a son named Adam, in 2022. Now, the couple is preparing to expand their family once again.

In her latest photo on social media, Kristyna cradles her visible baby bump, dressed casually in beachwear and sunglasses. Her husband gently holds her belly while their son Adam adorably leans in to kiss his unborn sibling.

Pliskova and Hancko got engaged in July 2021. The couple revealed the first baby news in December 2021. In February 2022, they crowned their relationship with marriage. The wedding ceremony was intimate, as Pliskova was well into her pregnancy so she didn’t want a big celebration.
