Debuting her custom New Balance apparel, Coco Gauff didn’t have to bring out her best tennis to advance to the second round of Roland Garros 2025. The American secured a comfortable 6-2 6-2 victory over Olivia Gadecki on a windy day in Paris and introduced her new tennis look.

Before the match even started, Coco had a hilarious little mishap. The second seed strolled onto Court Philippe Chatrier… without her racquets in her trusty Head racquet bag! Oops. Luckily, that didn’t slow her down.

Gauff’s outfit in Paris perfectly aligns with New Balance’s Paris collection, embracing the dusk shower color palette dominated by soft, greyish-blue tones. While the standard New Balance Paris Tournament Dress features a streamlined silhouette with contrasting trim accents, Gauff’s custom version elevates the design with an abstract, marble-like pattern that adds depth and visual interest.
The colors and pattern harmonize beautifully with both Gauff’s skin tone and the rich red clay of the courts. The fitted bodice accentuates her athletic physique and flows into a dynamic asymmetrical skirt, complete with a layered, pleated hem. It is evident that the outfit is made from ultra-lightweight, breathable fabric.
Most notably, Gauff took to Court Philippe Chatrier wearing the Grey Day edition of the CG2 tennis shoe. The design showcases soft pale blue-grey accents on the New Balance logo and outsole, set against a creamy off-white base. This subtle contrast between the cool blue-grey and warm cream tones is crafted to stand out vividly against the iconic red clay, guaranteeing that her footwear will catch the eye throughout Roland Garros.
The look is sporty and sharp, not exactly a fashion revolution for Grand Slam dresses, but definitely a winner. Bonus points go to the dark cropped New Balance jacket Coco rocked before the match and during her on-court interview; it looks like leather, giving her style an extra cool edge. And let’s not forget her matching metallic manicure, a perfect detail that ties the whole look together!
