2025 WTA Queen’s Club points and prize money: How many points are Raducanu and Boulter dropping?

The Queen’s Club Championships – or the HSBC Championships as it is also known as in 2025 – makes a return to the tennis calendar and a lot of points and prize money will be on offer for those in the main draw.

The Queen’s Club event returns after an absence of more than 50 years and it will feature six Grand Slam winners.

Former world No 1 Naomi Osaka, two-time Wimbledon winner Petra Kvitova, 2021 French Open winner and 2024 Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova, 2021 US Open winner Emma Raducanu, 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina and reigning Australian Open winner Madison Keys are on the entry list.

2024 Australian Open runner-up Zheng Qinwen is the top seed following world No 3 Jessica Pegula’s withdrawal while current world No 9 Emma Navarro and British players Sonay Kartal, Jodie Burrage and Fran Jones will also feature.

“These women are some of the fiercest competitors on the WTA Tour, and with so many Grand Slam winners set to take to the courts, the standard of tennis on show will be immense as they battle to be the first women’s winner at the Queen’s Club for over half a century,” Tournament Director Laura Robson said.

There was no Queen’s Club event on the 2024 WTA Tour calendar, so there is no defending champion with Olga Morozova the last to win the title and that was back in 1989.

But players do have points to defend from the corresponding events from 12 months ago.

Those events were the WTA 250 Nottingham Open and Libema Open and some of the players in the Queen’s Club draw some have a lot of points to defend.

Katie Boulter won the Nottingham title so she will drop 250 points while Raducanu reached the semi-final so will defend 98 points.

Osaka played in the Netherlands and made it to the quarters so will drop 54 points.

The good news for Kvitova, Krejcikova, Rybakina and Keys is they didn’t play in the grass-court events the first week after the French Open so won’t defend points.

2025 Queen’s Club points available

It is not all bad news for those dropping points as Queen’s Club is a WTA 500 tournament and more points are on offer than at the same time in 2024.

First round: 1 point
Round of 16: 60 points
Quarter-finals: 108 points
Semi-finals: 195 points
Finalist: 325 points
Champion: 500 points

What about the prize money on offer?

Much like the points, prize money on offer at the WTA 500 events are more than WTA 250 events and Boulter earned $35,250 for winning the Nottingham trophy while the Queen’s Club champion will earn four times that.

First round: $11,300
Round of 16: $15,700
Quarter-finals: $28,695
Semi-finals: $59,000
Finalist: $101,000
Champion: $164,000
