Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa are closer than ever

Stefanos Tsitsipas’ 2024 cannot be considered to be fully satisfactory. The Greek champion is struggling to complete that leap of quality expected from a player with his talent, especially after showing flashes of crystal class in the early years of his career.

The truth is that the player from Athens is no longer improving, his game is stagnating and his opponents know perfectly well his weaknesses. In addition, the numerous defeats suffered in recent months have affected his confidence and undermined his level at crucial moments of matches.

During the summer, Stefanos ended his professional relationship with his father Apostolos after a bitter quarrel at the Masters 1000 in Montreal. Tsitsipas will have to change gears in the latter part of the season to qualify for the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin and gain confidence ahead of 2025, which will be a pivotal year for his entire career.

If next year there is no quality change, then the risk would be that the Greek ace will never win a Grand Slam title. Young champions like Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner seem to be ahead of Tsitsipas at the moment, especially on grass and hard court. It will take some mental work to get Stef back at least the player from a few years ago.

Tsitsipas is happy

While he is not shining on the tennis court, Tsitsipas has found happiness in his private life. The Greek ace is having a beautiful love-story with his colleague Paula Badosa and the two are very much in love. Spanish tennis player Paula Badosa and Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas are two of the most followed tennis players in the circuit. In addition to being appreciated for the tennis qualities on the court there is also great curiosity about external factors, simple curiosities or factors related to their private life.

The fans are always curious, also or especially about the details and in the last hours has not passed unnoticed a new passion of Paula, tennis player who seems to follow in all the footsteps of the boyfriend. Paula Badosa is currently in Asia where she will be playing the Beijing tournament in China and where she will try to continue her climb in the WTA ranking. During the training many people noticed Paula around with a camera and smiling while taking pictures here and there.

What some people don’t know is that Paula is embracing this new passion thanks to her boyfriend Stefanos Tsitsipas, who has always been affected by this great love for photography. On social Stefanos has an Instagram page where he takes care of his own photographs and always seems even more related to this than to sport and tennis in general. Some time ago Tsitsipas told: “I created my social account dedicated to photography in March 2018 and had a clear goal. It would be great for me to share and collect stories through photos capturing the most important moments. Photography allows you to be many things and above all a creator, it is a skill and a hobby that differs from everyone else and allows you to play with the imagination”.

Now Paula seems more and more passionate about photos, the nth thing that unites the couple, with the two ever happier together, as they often highlight on their social networks. Badosa and Tsitsipas have had some difficult moments but now they are more united than ever and are one of the most followed couples on social media, with fans absolutely curious about what sees them as protagonists not only on the court but also and above all outside.

A beautiful love story

In a recent interview with ‘Downtown Magazine’, the 2021 French Open finalist praised Badosa: “Having a beautiful, successful woman is not part of the game. I never thought I would date a tennis player and now I feel lucky. We have a lot to learn from each other, in this shared journey.

My girlfriend suffered a lot from an injury, I could see her resilience. But those days are behind us. She has recovered and I am also in a very good mental state, knowing how to prioritize things. I want to manage things to live a balanced life, with success on and off the court.”

Stefanos will try to close his 2024 in a good way, in which he won his third title on the red clay of Monte Carlo. This is a prestigious result, but it’s not enough for a player with his ambitions. The feeling is that the Greek ace is far from the top players at this time, especially far from the red clay.
