The Italian Pro Tour 2024 concludes with a prestigious event: the National Open Championship/Franco Chimenti Trophy dedicated to the historic President of the Italian Golf Federation who recently passed away.
Included in the circuit of national and international competitions organized by the FIG, with the support of the Official Advisor Infront Italy, the 84th edition of the longest-running tournament in the Italian panorama will take place on the Golf Nazionale di Sutri (VT) course from 20 to 23 November with the participation of 78 competitors, 62 professionals and 16 amateurs.
The traditional Pro-Am will act as a prologue to the event tomorrow, Tuesday 19 November.

Enrico Di Nitto, who has just gained access to the 2025 Challenge Tour, will defend his title in a field that includes numerous players capable of proposing themselves at the top. Last year he signed his second laurel, after that of 2017, beating Luca Cianchetti. Among the most anticipated competitors is Gregorio De Leo who obtained the ‘card’ for the DP World Tour and will be able to continue his growth path on the great international stage.
Jacopo Vecchi Fossa (2018, 2021), Giulio Castagnara (2020), Filippo Bergamaschi (2016) and Lorenzo Gagli (2010) also know how to win this competition, they too are among the favorites together with many other athletes including Edoardo Raffaele Lipparelli, Andrea Romano, Manfredi Manica, Gianmaria Rean Trinchero, Mattia Comotti and Marco Florioli. The latter, recently among the professionals, could become the fifth son of art to climb on the highest step of the podium after his father Massimo, who scored in 1997, also at the start. Moreover, he has already imitated him in the PGAI Championship where he won in October thirty years after his father.
Among the amateurs, the presence of Matteo Cristoni, Pietro Boeris, Lucas Nicolas Fallotico and Alessandro Nardini, who have won the full ‘card’ for the next Alps Tour.
The tournament is played over a distance of 72 holes, 18 per day, with a cut after 36 that will promote the first 40 classified to the final two rounds, the equals in 40th place and the amateurs within the qualifying score. The prize money is 50,000 euros with first prize of 7,250 euros.
