The Legion XIII team needs an addition, and they currently have several options available.
Jon Rahm, the captain of this team, carefully analyzes the market, looking for the best option for the future. Although there are many young and quality golfers, the Spaniard has dilemmas.
The well-known face of the golf scene, Jerry Foltz, LIV Golf commentator, has a suggestion for the experienced Spaniard. Jerry thinks Legion XIII should sign Santiago De La Fuente, a 23-year-old Mexican.
Although several names have been linked to this team, there is still no concrete information on who could strengthen the team. During one of the episodes of the Fairway to Heaven podcast, Foltz stressed that Legion XIII is quietly observing the situation.
“Their camp has been very quiet,” Foltz said, as quoted by Golf Magic.
David Puig-Caleb Surrat trade
The co-host said that it was strange that Rahm did not try to persuade Garcia to trade David Puig.
Foltz is not sure that an agreement can be reached between the two sides, given that Legion XIII has no one to offer to Garcia’s team. Although some mention Caleb Surratt as a name that could go to the opposite side, the LIV Golf commentator believes that Jon Rahm will not make such a move, considering the potential that the American has.
“Rahm doesn’t have anything to give them [the Fireballs].
“They are going to keep a Latin influence on those two teams, so, they can’t give them [Caleb] Surratt in a trade because he doesn’t want to.
Surratt is going to be, well, he is world class already and he has a really good chance to be a world beater.
Nobody is going to get rid of Tyrrell, they are going to do everything they can to keep him as he is a mainstay on the top of the leaderboard.”- he concluded.
The LIV commentator stresses that the best option is for Rahm to sign the Mexican and then trade him for Puig.
