Nick Kyrgios and Casper Ruud officially put tense history behind: Things do a 360

Nick Kyrgios and Casper Ruud seem to be officially on good terms after the two teamed up for a doubles match and later gave recognition to each other on social media.

On Saturday in Abu Dhabi, the Australian and the Norwegian defeated Jordan Thompson and Sumit Nagal 6-4 in a one-set match at the World Tennis League.

In the past, Kyrgios and Ruud had a few tense moments between them and it wasn’t a secret that the 2022 Wimbledon finalist didn’t admire much the current world No. 6.

“Funny how things do a 360 – what we calling this duo @casperruud. Absolute pleasure playing alongside you,” the 29-year-old captioned his Instagram post following their doubles match.

In the comment section, the three-time Grand Slam finalist responded: “Fire & Ice!!”

What happened between Kyrgios and Ruud in the past?

In 2019, their Rome Masters match was in early third set when the Australian got disqualified over throwing a chair in frustration.

When addressing that, the Norwegian called the former world No. 13 “an idiot on the court.”

Three years later, they met again and this time Kyrgios won at the Indian Wells Masters.

“I hear no talking now. I hear no talking now. None,” he was heard shouting after the win in the desert.

After arriving in Australia in late 2022, Ruud told local media that he didn’t get a Christmas card from their home favorite.

“You know, I didn’t receive a Christmas card from him (Nick); nor did he receive one from me. But if we see each other we can say hello and there’s no hard feelings. Nick is such a talented player, and he can beat anyone. I mean, you don’t want to have a feud going on against him because he will probably want to bring his A-game every place,” Ruud said at the time.
