The PNC Championship, for the second consecutive year, goes to the team composed of Bernhard and Jason Langer. In Orlando, Florida, the Germans beat Tiger and Charlie Woods on the first play-off hole. A mocking defeat for the 15-time Major champion and his son. 15-year-old Charlie was the protagonist with a hole-in-one show. On hole 4 (par 3) of the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, from 176 meters and with a 4-iron, he performed a magic that made his father Tiger exult with joy. Second again, as in 2021, despite having equaled the best score of the tournament with a total of 116 (59 57, -28), they were unable to get the better of their Teutonic opponents.

A true specialist, Bernhard Langer won the competition for the sixth time in his career, the fourth with his son Jason (in addition to 2023, they won it together in 2019 and 2014). While the first two victories, in 2005 and 2006 respectively, came with his other son, Stefan.
“I know we didn’t win, but this experience together was special. We played incredibly,” Tiger Woods said at the end of the tournament. “It was fantastic to have dad by my side. Just as beautiful was to make a hole-in-one and see him celebrate,” Charlie Woods said with joy.
The Rules of Golf are a set of rules and standard procedures by which the sport of golf should be played. They are jointly written and administered by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, the governing body of golf throughout the world, except in the United States and Mexico, which are governed by the United States Golf Association. An expert committee, made up of members of the R&A and the USGA, oversees and refines the Rules every four years. The latest revision was effective January 1, 2016. Changes to the Rules of Golf generally fall into two main categories: those that improve understanding of the Rules and those that reduce penalties in certain cases to ensure balance. The rulebook, entitled “The Rules of Golf,” is published on a regular basis and also includes rules governing amateur status. In Italy, the Federgolf is responsible for supervising competitions by enforcing the rules issued by the R & A, checking that these rules are observed by the Clubs, Associations and their members and managing the resulting sporting justice, protecting their interests abroad.
