After undergoing three surgeries and returning at the start of 2024, the 22-year-old was able to make some solid results and show signs of improvement in her game.
However, she still battled some injuries and was limited to just 13 tournaments.
But after making a WTA semifinal this year – beating two top-10 players – and climbing for around 250 spots on the rankings list, the 2021 US Open champion was full of praise for her season.
“Wasn’t able to play the full calendar and stay on court as much as I would have liked. But my assessment is, you, I think sometimes I need reminding, I’m top 60 in the world and I have played less than 15 events, which is pretty unheard of, in a way,” Raducanu said at the Billie Jean King Cup Finals.
“I have to pat myself on the back for that. I know I’m a dangerous player. I know no one wants to pull my names in the draw. I take pride in that, and I’m looking forward to hopefully staying on court longer next year.”
Meanwhile, Raducanu is set to start her 2025 season in Auckland next week.
