Brooks Koepka once again ended his collaboration with coach Claude Harmon III, a few days ago. Although the two of them split in 2020, four years later the same thing happened.
It is not known what lies behind Koepka’s decision, but it is clear that this experienced golfer is not satisfied with the work of his former coach, and is ready to open a new chapter in his career.
The 34-year-old golfer, on the other hand, showed respect for Harmon III, saying that they remained on good terms, even though they would no longer cooperate. LIV Golfer also shared that he is entering the next season with Pete Cowen and Jeff Pierce.
I love Claude. We had a great run, and he’s still family to me, but unfortunately, we’re not working together anymore,”- he said, as quoted by Express.
Claude Harmon’s stances
It is interesting that Claude Harmon III was not only the coach of this golfer. Namely, Harmon III was a person who always stood up for Koepka, no matter what decisions he made.
His joining LIV Golf produced furious reactions, but Claude decided to react to various headlines, saying that the media is sending wrong images to the public.
Namely, this popular coach decided to criticize Tiger Woods, who made huge money, coming to the first professional tournament with a Nike plane.
Harmon was mad at Tiger who was the first to criticize LIV Golfers. In addition, he shared his impressions about LIV Golf, feeling that this tournament is no worse than the PGA Tour.
Although he defended Brooks countless times, the 34-year-old decided that it was time for some new faces, not wanting to continue his collaboration with Harmon III. It will be interesting to see in which direction this LIV Golfer’s career will go, and if something will necessarily change in his game.
