Scottie Scheffler is finally returning to the golf course after a surprise injury. The 28-year-old golfer has missed some of the year’s tournaments, but he seems more motivated than ever before heading into the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. This great golfer has recovered from a hand injury.
Scheffler suffered an injury over Christmas when shards of a wine glass ended up in his hand. However, Scotti is ready to return.
In a media interview, the world number 1 admitted that he is not nervous about the potential impact of the surgery. Although he was angry with himself about the incident, Scottie has put it behind him, ready to continue as strong as last year.
“Not at all.
It’s one of those deals where immediately after it happened I was mad at myself because I was like ‘gosh, that’s so stupid’, but you just don’t think about it when you’re in the moment,” Scottie Scheffler added.”- Scheffler said, as quoted by BBC.
Scottie Scheffler: I kind of knew something was up
Scottie said things weren’t terrible, but he felt like he was having a hard time moving his arm, and it was causing him pain. However, after such an injury, Scottie is ready to do big things at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
“It really wasn’t terrible, but I knew I kind of messed something up just because the way my hand wasn’t really moving much and if I did move it, it hurt pretty badly. So I kind of knew something was up.”- he said.
The 28-year-old has missed two tournaments this year, but he insists that won’t change his plans when it comes to tournaments this year. The world number one will consider adding some tournaments to the calendar, but for now, it seems he has no such plans.
Whether Scottie can be as superior as he has been in previous seasons remains to be seen. He certainly has the potential to do great things.
