Emma Raducanu got back to work instantly after an early Singapore Open loss as she hit the gym and started preparing for the next challenges.
This week, the former world No. 10 played her second tournament of the season after accepting a wildcard into Singapore just before the start of the Australian Open.
But sadly for Raducanu – who battled a back injury at the start of 2025 – she didn’t manage to take advantage of a favorable draw as her run in the Asian event lasted only match after world No. 101 Cristina Bucsa upset her 5-7 7-5 7-5.
However, the 2021 US Open champion didn’t allow herself to be discouraged.
“Keeping on keeping on,” the 22-year-old captioned her latest Instagram post.

On paper, the Briton losing to a player ranked outside the top-100 was a disappointing result.
But the British tennis star didn’t feel that way as she thought that she played even better than at the Australian Open, where she won two matches before losing to Iga Swiatek.
“I think I’m in a pretty good place with everything and I think I actually played better than I did in Melbourne, so that is ironic,” Raducanu explained.
“I think it was really small margins in it. I honestly thought I played pretty well today.
“She just played unbelievable and, credit to her, she kept it up the whole match.”
On Thursday – three days after her Australian Open exit – it was announced that the world No. 56 accepted a qualifying wildcard into the upcoming WTA 500 event in Abu Dhabi.
For Raducanu, it will be her first appearance in qualifying since the 2021 US Open – when she became a Grand Slam champion in a historic way.
The Abu Dhabi Open qualifying starts this weekend.
