Paula Badosa makes surprising confession on Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner

Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are taking tennis to a new dimension and other players have to find alternative solutions to reach their level. The Italian ace has won the last three Major titles on hard courts, while the Spanish star became the youngest player ever to win the French Open and Wimbledon Championships in the same season (2024).

In particular, Jannik’s consistency over the past year has been unattainable for anyone. Despite the doping case, the 23-year-old from Sesto Pusteria has continued to play incredible tennis that has led him to win nine titles from January 2024 to date with only six defeats.

Sinner also won the 2025 Australian Open and decided to rest after his amazing run at Melbourne Park, which is why he is absent in Rotterdam this week.

Carlitos – on the other hand – is much less regular than his great rival, but he has been the only one able to put him in trouble in the last twelve months (defeating him three times).

The 21-year-old from Murcia still has some weaknesses from a mental point of view and this was evident during the match against Novak Djokovic at the AO, in which he lost concentration due to the Serbian’s injury to his left thigh.

Badosa praises Sinner and Alcaraz

Fans and insiders have no doubt that the Italian and the Spaniard will be the main protagonists of the men’s tour for the next 10-15 years.

On the latest edition of ‘Tennis Insider Club’, WTA star Paula Badosa revealed that Sinner and Alcaraz have become an inspiration for all players: “I consider them a role model especially for the way they handle pressure, especially Carlitos.

He always seems to be in a great mood, he likes to smile and have fun on the court, it’s really incredible. He manages to smile even in the most delicate moments of a match. Alcaraz and Sinner are similar and different at the same time. All the players are inspired by the two of them right now.”

Badosa has had an excellent start to the season unlike her boyfriend Stefanos Tsitsipas.
