World no. 1 Jannik Sinner is spending his 36th week on the ATP throne, matching Carlos Alcaraz’s feat. The 23-year-old made a perfect start to the season, defending his Australian Open crown and lifting his third Major crown.
The Italian skipped last week’s ATP 500 event in Rotterdam. Jannik enjoyed the snow delights in Italy before heading to Monte Carlo. Sinner trained at the famous tennis club, preparing for his next tournament. Sinner will travel to Doha in the upcoming days.
The Italian will chase his second title of the season at the ATP 500 event, with Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic forging a notable draw.

Jannik wrapped up the 2023 season as world no. 4. He took charge last year, and everything started in Melbourne! The 22-year-old earned his first Major trophy over Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev. He never looked back ever since!
Sinner secured 73 wins from 79 matches in 2024, lifting eight ATP trophies and leading Italy toward the Davis Cup title defense. Jannik was the top favorite in Melbourne last month. The defending champion proved that on the court and lifted a trophy.

World no. 1 bested seven rivals while dropping only two sets. He survived a health scare against Holger Rune in the fourth round and passed all the obstacles en route to the title, his third at the previous five Majors!
Sinner ousted Ben Shelton in the semi-final and arranged the clash with world no. 2 Alexander Zverev. The Italian beat the German 6-3, 7-6, 6-3 in two hours and 42 minutes, controlling the scoreboard and moving over the top.

Jannik won 84% of the points after landing in the first serve. He never faced a break point and mounted the pressure on his opponent. Zverev fought for his first Major title in his third final. He defended eight of ten break points but could not extend the battle.
Sinner tamed his strokes nicely and welcomed 45 unforced errors from the other side. The Italian clinched his first break in the eighth game of the opening set. World no. 1 held in the next one for 6-3 and a boost.

They stayed neck and neck in the second set and introduced a tie break. Jannik claimed a crucial point at 4-4 with a lucky net cord winner. He claimed points on serve to wrap up the set and forge a massive two sets to love advantage.
The defending champion delivered five fine holds in the third set. Sinner stole the rival’s serve once to seal the deal and lift a trophy, writing history books and extending his incredible streak. Jannik will be the favorite in Doha.
However, his rivals will try everything to deliver his first loss of the season.
