Four and a half after the first, the 25-year-old Miomir Kecmanovic claimed his second ATP title. The Serb conquered the ATP 250 event in Delray Beach following a remarkable comeback in the title clash against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.
Miomir denied two match points and prevailed 3-6, 6-1, 7-5 in two hours and ten minutes. The Spaniard built a 5-2 advantage in the decider and earned two match points on the return in game eight. The Serb denied them and rattled off five games to emerge at the top.
Kecmanovic produced more efficient numbers behind the first and second serve. He denied five of seven break points and stole his coeval’s serve four times from six opportunities, two times in the closing stages of the duel.

The Serb fired 24 service winners and finished the duel with 28 winners and 33 unforced errors. The Spaniard landed 31 direct points and spoiled his chances after 46 mistakes. Alejandro saved a break point in the first game of the match with a service winner.
They served well in the next four games before Davidovich Fokina made a push on the return at 3-2. He drew the rival’s mistake and delivered a break at love that sent him in front. The Spaniard served for the opener at 5-3 and drew the Serb’s mistake.

Thus, he brought the first part of the duel home in 32 minutes. Miomir responded strongly in set number two. He barely lost a point on serve and provided back-to-back breaks, rattling off five games and 20 of the final 21 points for 6-1.
Kecmanovic broke his opponent in the fourth game with a forehand crosscourt winner and held at love in the next one with a service winner. The Serb landed a backhand down the line winner at 4-1, stealing his rival’s serve at love and serving for the set.

Miomir held at love with a service winner, forcing a decider after 55 minutes. After two quick sets, the two rivals battled for an hour and 15 minutes in the decider! The Spaniard saved a break point in the third game and welcomed the rival’s backhand error in the next one for 3-1.
Kecmanovic saved a break point in the sixth game, remaining within one break deficit. Alejandro served well in the seventh game, opening a 5-2 gap and putting one hand on the trophy. Miomir faced two match points on serve in game eight.

The Serb denied them and launched his comeback. Davidovich Fokina served for the title at 5-3 and placed a forehand wide to drop serve. Kecmanovic gained confidence and held in game ten with a powerful serve, locking the result at 5-5.
Not stopping there, Miomir provided a break at love in the 11th game after Alejandro’s loose backhand. Thus, he moved in front and served for the title at 6-5. The Spaniard fired a forehand down the line winner and created a break chance.
The Serb denied it and created a match point. Alejandro cracked a forehand winner for more drama before Miomir created the second match point with a forehand winner. Kecmanovic welcomed the rival’s forehand error, falling to the ground and celebrating his second ATP title.
