World no. 1 Jannik Sinner is the ATP Finals champion! The home favorite shined in Turin this week, scoring five top-10 wins in straight sets and adding the eighth ATP trophy to his incredible collection in 2024. Sinner faced Taylor Fritz in the title clash and scored a 6-4, 6-4 victory.
The Italian was the favorite, and he proved that on the court, serving well and mounting the pressure on the other side. The American sought revenge after losing the US Open final to Sinner, giving everything but falling in straight sets against the world’s best player.

Jannik’s rock-solid performances bests Taylor
Sinner made a reliable start and waited for break opportunities. They came in the fourth game, and world no. 1 seized the fourth with a drop shot winner to open a 4-3 gap. The Italian held at love with an ace in game eight and served for the opener at 5-4.
The two-time Major winner wasted a set point and experienced a break point after a backhand winner from the American. Jannik denied it with a service winner and blasted an ace on a set point for 6-4 after 41 minutes. They served well at the beginning of the second set and locked the result at 2-2.

Sinner made a push on the return in the fifth game, welcoming Fritz’s backhand error and moving in front. The Italian served well in the remaining three games, firing powerful serves at 5-4 to wrap up the title and start a celebration in front of the home fans.
