Jannik Sinner has literally conquered the tennis world in the last twelve months, thanks to his numerous victories and his always very correct behavior. Unlike most current athletes, the world No. 1 does not like to be the center of attention and is not obsessed with the spotlight.
This attitude is also reflected in his skills on the tennis court, where he is able to maintain exceptional control even in moments of greater tension. Thanks to this ability, the Italian ace was able to continue to play his best tennis despite the very strong stress related to the doping case that hit him in spring 2024.
The 23-year-old from Sesto Pusteria has maintained an impressive level throughout 2024 – in which he has won more than 70 matches suffering only six losses – and his 2025 has started as best he could not have done. Jannik won the Australian Open for the second time in a row and celebrated his third Grand Slam title with his entire team.
Sinner did not defend his title in Rotterdam last week to recharge his batteries after the Australian trip, but he has already resumed practicing in Monte Carlo these days. The 3-time Grand Slam champion will return to action in Doha next week, in an ATP 500 full of stars.
Bill Gates praises Sinner
The impact Jannik has had on the whole world is certified by all the accolades he receives, even outside the boundaries of his sport. In the latest episode of the Italian show ‘Che Tempo Che fa’, the host Fabio Fazio interviewed Bill Gates.
The latter admitted that he is a big fan of Sinner: “Among the players of the new generation he is my favorite, I like him. He is always so calm, he has a very positive attitude in all situations. Thanks to the results he has achieved in the last year, he has become a star.”
Gates has always been a great tennis fan and appears at several tournaments on the professional tour, especially in Indian Wells.
