The new LIV Golf season attracts attention from the public, with questions: Is this finally the year in which the controversial Tour will experience a big jump in ratings? LIV’s innovative approach raises optimism, along with the changes they have already introduced before the start of the season.
There are many new faces in this project, with Rick Shiels as one of the main promoters of this Tour. Of course, the names that are there from the very beginning will also be the key to the success of this story.
Brooks Koepka is one of the main faces of LIV, and in an interview for the Rick Shiels YouTube channel, he reflected on the beginning of the season and the tournaments he is looking forward to. The experienced golfer pointed out that Singapore is a place he is particularly looking forward to, for several reasons, with the course being one of them.
“I am excited to go back to Singapore. Obviously, I’ve had good results. Honestly, it’s just a cool country. The golf course is great. Honestly I think it’s the best course we play. Sentosa is pretty cool,” Koepka said, as quoted by The Golfing Gazette.
“You’ve got five holes on the water there. You can see the port and everything. There’s a par-five that runs down the right side. It’s a little bit of a risk-reward and a good finish coming down those five holes. You’ve really got to hit some tee shots. You’ve really got to place your ball and be a good ball striker there.”

What can we expect from Brooks Koepka?
The American golfer celebrated in Singapore last year, and he will have the chance to do so in mid-March this year. The first step for him will be Riyadh, the first tournament calendar, after which he will go to Australia, Hong Kong and then to Singapore. The popular golfer is motivated to leave an even bigger mark this season than previous ones.
It will be interesting to see if he can really succeed in this.
