Brooks Koepka on LIV-PGA negotiations: I’d give my opinion if I was in the room

Rory McIlroy, although he softened his stance more than a year ago and emphasized that he is open to the arrival of LIV Golfers on the PGA Tour, seems to be changing his views again, at least partially. Namely, although he believed that the merger was the best solution for everyone, the 35-year-old shocked the public, saying that although he still believes that the merger is a positive thing, he feels that the PGA Tour can build a future without such a partner, and that they do not necessarily need such an agreement.

Is something happening that we do not know about? There are various predictions and reactions, but it seems that both sides cannot find a common language or find a solution.

If it comes to the final deal, it will mean the return of well-known names of the golf scene to the Tour where it all began. Brooks Koepka is the individual most associated with a comeback. Fred Couples’ statement that he often talks with Koepka, stressing that his experiences golfer aims to return, aroused even more reactions.

Brooks is quite frustrated with the questions regarding his return to the PGA Tour, saying on The Joe Pomp Show:

“Everyone asks that question man. If I was in the room I would give my opinion, but I am not in the room.”

Brooks Koepka talks about the importance of these negotiations

Interestingly, Koepka, as one of the prominent golfers to move to LIV, knows the importance of these negotiations, but feels somewhat outside of these conversations, because he is not “in the room.”

The popular golfer is aware that there are many who are directing not only his future, but the future of all the colleagues on the golf scene. The future of golf is now held in the hands of PGA Tour and LIV officials, who clearly cannot agree on a deal.

What the main dispute is is not known, but it seems that each side wants a bigger piece of the pie.

The situation is quite chaotic, with a lot of question marks hanging over our heads as to what the future holds.
