Carlos will start the season at the Australian Open before entering the ATP 500 tournament in Rotterdam. Alcaraz will challenge the defending champion Jannik Sinner, and they will both travel to Doha after that. Novak Djokovic will join them at the newly-established ATP 500 event.
The Spaniard has won five ATP 500 titles, standing as the only player with the crown at this level in all three surfaces since 2009. The most recent one came at the Beijing Open last year. Carlos met Jannik Sinner in the title clash and prevailed after a massive battle.

Alcaraz defeated Sinner 6-7, 6-4, 7-6 after three hours and 21 minutes. Thus, he became the only player to beat the Italian in the 2024 ATP finals. Carlos stood two points away from the exit door in the decider and trailed 3-0 in the tie break.
The Spaniard bounced back and claimed the following seven points, cracking six winners and lifting a trophy in style. Two rivals could meet again in Doha in two months, and with Novak Djokovic and other players from the top, it’s a tournament no one wants to miss.
