Caroline Wozniacki is about to become a mom of three! The former world No.1 and Grand Slam champion shared the exciting news on Instagram, posting a beach photo of her family. In the image, daughter Olivia holds up an ultrasound, revealing that a new sibling is on the way.
“Officially switching to zone defense!” Wozniacki captioned the post, joking that she and her husband, retired NBA player David Lee, will soon be outnumbered by their kids. “Our family couldn’t be more excited to welcome baby #3 soon!” she added.
Wozniacki and Lee tied the knot in a lavish Italian wedding ceremony in June 2019, six months before she stepped away from professional tennis to focus on her personal life. Their daughter Olivia was born in June 2021, followed by son James in October 2022.
After a three-and-a-half-year hiatus, Wozniacki made a return to the WTA Tour in August 2023, kicking off her comeback in Montreal. She made headlines at that year’s US Open, becoming the lowest-ranked player (No. 623) to reach the fourth round since Kim Clijsters’ title-winning run in 2009.
In 2024, Wozniacki proved her comeback was no fluke. She reached the quarterfinals in Indian Wells, made it to the third round at Wimbledon, represented Denmark at the Paris Olympics, and once again advanced to the fourth round of the US Open. Her consistent performances earned her a return to the Top 100 in the PIF WTA Rankings.
However, she withdrew from the 2025 Australian Open for undisclosed reasons, and fans began to wonder about her next move—especially after spotting her in Adidas’s latest Legacy collection campaign. Now we know the reason behind her absence this season: a new baby is on the way!
According to her announcement, the little one is due soon. Congratulations to Caroline, David, Olivia, and James as they prepare to welcome the newest member of their growing team.
