Donald Trump once again showed his passion for golf, visiting his golf course in Jupiter, Florida. Although there is a chaotic situation in the world and a trade war, with Donald Trump as the main actor, the US president does not seem particularly worried.
US citizens resent him for putting a huge focus on golf; more precisely, they blame him for how often he plays this sport, and how hard he wants to solve the problems in this sport.
Nevertheless, Trump tries to distance himself from such sentiments, having no doubt that he is doing the right thing.
The White House confirmed two days ago that Trump won the second round of the Senior Club Championship. The day after, the Republican leader confirmed that he won in the final round, visibly happy about it.
Trump also posted a video clip on Truth Social where he plays golf. Some consider this a provocation, but it is not known what his intentions were.
Tariffs
After the announced tariffs, Donald Trump is enjoying golf, wanting to take a break from the constant pressure and criticism that comes day after day. However, by doing so, he created an even stronger effect and criticism, especially because he avoids commenting too much on the latest events.
Well-known political figures have reacted critically to his behavior, with Senator Ben Ray Lujan being one of them.
“While the American people are trying to put food on the table, I see that Donald Trump’s out there playing golf,” Sen. Ben Ray Luján said.
“The president should be listening to people across the country. Maybe he should go into a grocery store, do some walking, talking to folks.”
Nevertheless, the leader of the world’s largest economy seems to be sending a clear message: I am ready to do whatever I want! The 78-year-old politician and businessman seems to have no intention of considering the views of others, nor of considering his own decisions.
He strongly feels that he is doing the right things for the US economy, its citizens, expecting that the fruits of his actions will be reaped soon.
