Australian Elvis Smylie with a final round of 67 (-4) strokes and a score of 199 (65 67 67, -14) won the BMW Australian PGA Championship, beating fellow countryman Cameron Smith, star of LIV Golf, second with 201 (-12) and who was alongside him after two rounds. Filippo Celli was ranked 21st with 207 (68 70 69, -6). The tournament, organized in collaboration between the DP World Tour and the PGA of Australia on the Royal Queensland Golf Club course (par 71), in Brisbane, Australia, was reduced from 72 to 54 holes because bad weather prevented play on the second day.

Four other Australians behind the two protagonists: Marc Leishman, also in the Arab Super League, and Anthony Quayle, third with 202 (-11), David Micheluzzi, fifth with 203 (-10), and Cam Davis, sixth with 204 (-9) tied with the emerging Spaniard Angel Ayora, first of the “foreigners”. The other Australian Min Woo Lee, who was defending his title, did not go beyond 15th place with 206 (-7).
Smylie, 22 years old from Queensland, leader after one round, was joined by Smith in the second, but in the third with four birdies on the first seven holes and no bogeys he took the second title on the home circuit which also counts for him on the continental tour. Smith, on the other hand, did not find the right pace finishing with a partial of 69 (-2) with six birdies and four bogeys.
Celli, who has always remained in a good ranking, also concluded his run with a score of 69 (-2) due to four birdies and two bogeys. Renato Paratore, 107th with 144 (73 71. +2), did not make the cut.
The winner received a check for 210,871 euros on a prize pool of approximately 1,230,000 euros (2,000,000 Australian dollars the official figure).
