Elena Rybakina reintegrates Vukov into the team: is it a right choice?

Elena Rybakina has announced the comeback of Stefano Vukov into her team. The coach she separated from in recent months has been reintegrated into the team and he will therefore work together with the new coach of the Kazakh, Goran Ivanisevic.

Elena will be able to count on several important and caliber people starting this season, to improve some aspects of her game and make that leap forward that can lead her to compete for the top position in the WTA world ranking and in the Slam finals.

“Hi everyone, I’m thrilled to announce that Stefano will be joining the team for the 2025 season. Thank you all for the support. And I wish you a great year,” the 25-year-old told fans in an Instagram story.

Rybakina has started the year well in the Toure, choosing the United Cup competition to prepare for the most important event in January, the Australian Open. Her victories have led Kazakhstan to the semifinals of the event, which they will play on Saturday.

For the 25-year-old, it is essential to find the form of the best moments to be at the top and give a hard time to the strongest on the Tour, starting from the Slam in Melbourne: Elena boasts a final in Australia in 2023, a tournament in which she demonstrated how she can obtain significant results on hard courts.

The choice to reintegrate Vukic into her team, however, is certainly a surprise. Especially after the rumors about the reasons that led to the split with Rybakina. What is certain is that, under the guidance of the coach,

Elena had reached two Slam finals, including the triumph at Wimbledon 2022. It will also be necessary to evaluate how Vukic will integrate with a strong personality like Ivanisevic. What is certain is that the Kazakh has clear ideas about her ambitions, after having built her super team.
