Brooks Koepka was one of the first to leave the PGA Tour a few years ago, joining LIV Golf. Public reactions were really negative. Koepka was one of the best players on the prestigious Tour, but the desire for a new challenge was obviously crucial in this story. However, for a couple of weeks there have been rumors that Brooks could return to Tour where it all started.
These rumors were further awakened by Fred Couples, a former golfer, who commented on Koepka and his desire to return to the PGA Tour while visiting Seattle’s KJR 93.3 FM.
“I talk to Brooks Koepka all the time,” Couples said, as quoted by The News&Observer.
“I love Brooks, and I’m not going to say anything extra except I talk to him all the time… He wants to come back. I will say that I believe he really wants to come back and play the Tour.”
Fred Couples is a man known for his honesty and directness, so we have no doubt that this is indeed the truth. The 65-year-old also hopes for the return of Koepka, as he wants to see the best golfers in one place again, just like all golf fans.
Interesting career
Brooks Koepka won as many as five major titles, which speaks volumes about his greatness and success. Playing at LIV Golf, Brooks could create additional problems for himself. Will he change his decision? Opinions differ, but it seems that everything ‘smells’ towards his return.
Brooks recently spoke about his aspirations this season, stressing that winning the Majors is a priority for him. An American golfer marks a season as unsuccessful if he does not win the Majors in it. Brooks believes that most golfers are remembered for the Majors, as he wants to add more Majors to his CW this year and in the coming years.
