Iga Swiatek, Hubert Hurkacz to challenge for Eisenhower Cup title, big prize money

Iga Swiatek and Hubert Hurkacz are set to return as a duo for this year’s Eisenhower Cup as the Polish star pair will try to win the Tie-Break Tens event and collect a very nice $200k cheque on March 4th.

Since 2022, the Indian Wells organizers have been organizing a star-studded mixed doubles event just before the start of the main tournament, with eight teams competing and every match being played to 10 points.

And this year won’t be any different as the event is again set to have an outstanding field.

Besides Swiatek and Hurkacz, other confirmed teams are: Elena Rybakina & Taylor Fritz – Madison Keys & Tommy Paul – Emma Navarro & Ben Shelton – Paula Badosa & Stefanos Tsitsipas – Katie Boulter & Alex de Minaur – Jasmine Paolini & Lorenzo Musetti.

In 2023, the Polish duo fell just short of winning the Eisenhower Cup after falling short 8-10 to Aryna Sabalenka and Fritz in the final.

Last year, Navarro and Shelton won the title.

Swiatek, Hurkacz went 2-2 at the United Cup this year

The Polish pair has already had some mixed doubles action this year as they beat Ulrikke Elkeri & Casper Ruud and Tomas Machac & Karolina Muchova at the United Cup at the start of 2025.

Overall, they own a 6-1 record as a duo.

“It was amazing. It was the first time I had the opportunity to play with Hubi,” Swiatek said of playing doubles with Hurkacz after they debuted as a duo at the 2023 United Cup.

“When he serves, it’s the best feeling ever. I don’t have to do anything on the volleys, so I love it! He gives a lot of positive energy and I am the one who usually needs it.”
