Jannik Sinner will start his 32nd week on the ATP throne on Monday. The Italian will also play his first match of the season at the Australian Open against Nicolas Jarry. Jannik took charge in 2024 and left everyone behind.
Last June, he dethroned Novak Djokovic and became the 29th world no. 1 in ATP history. Reviving an incredible achievement, Sinner called it beautiful after making the entire nation and himself happy. The success came after many sacrifices and dedicated practice hours.

Recognized as one of the young guns to beat, Sinner rose to the challenge in the second part of 2023. The Italian reached the Wimbledon semi-final and scored 32 wins in the final 37 matches of the year. The youngster claimed his first Masters 1000 crown in Toronto.
He added more trophies in Beijing and Vienna and wrapped up the year with the ATP Finals title clash and Davis Cup crown! Also, Jannik ousted Novak Djokovic two times within ten days and gathered a boost ahead of 2024.

Sinner embraced one of the finest seasons in the Open era, lifting six notable titles and wrapping up the campaign with eight ATP trophies and the Davis Cup defense. It all started in Melbourne, where the 22-year-old lifted his first Major title over Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev.
The Italian conquered Rotterdam and Miami, building an advantage in the ATP Race. However, due to an injury, he did not enjoy his finest season on clay. Jannik recovered by Roland Garros and reached the semi-final.

The ATP Race leader led two sets to one against Carlos Alcaraz before losing the edge and falling in five sets. However, Sinner collected enough ATP points to pass Novak Djokovic and grab the ATP throne. The Italian was a player to beat for the rest of the year.
He lifted trophies in Cincinnati and New York, adding the second Major to his collection. Jannik secured another title at the Shanghai Masters and earned $6 million at the Six Kings Slam in Riyadh. The Italian made a strong finish to the season.

He became the ATP Finals champion over Taylor Fritz and led Italy toward the second consecutive Davis Cup title. World no. 1 completed a historic season but wants more in 2025! The 23-year-old will seek the title defense in Melbourne, leading the draw ahead of Alexander Zverev and Carlos Alcaraz.
“Becoming world no. 1 felt beautiful. I made many sacrifices to be able to chase the top. I succeeded and made myself and the entire nation happy. I’m thrilled about that achievement. However, we are in 2025, and I have new goals. My focus is on the present, and we will see how things will develop,” Jannik Sinner said.
