LIV Golf caused a stir when they arrived on the golf scene, emphasizing that their philosophy is primarily based on the changes that have existed until now. The leaders of this Tour decided to show the other side of golf, and to present novelties that did not actually cause positive emotions and reactions in everyone.
Although from the beginning they had a different dress code than the PGA Tour, it seems that that has come to an end, at least if we believe the words of Pat Perez, former LIV Golfer.
In a conversation with a Fairway To Heaven podcast, the experienced golfer pointed out that he heard rumors that LIV golfers will wear pants from this season, which was not the case until now. However, he later said that such information was confirmed to him.
“I’ve heard the players are wearing pants all year.
I got it confirmed the other day that the players are wearing pants and the first place I thought about was Singapore [due to the intense heat and humidity].”- Pat Perez said, as quoted by MIRROR.
Jon Rahm shares his views
Jon Rahm, perhaps the strongest weapon in this league, admitted during the press conference that he likes such changes. The Spanish golfer believes that his team’s philosophy matches the changes that LIV Golf has introduced. The 31-year-old is optimistic that his team can make an important step towards the top this year.
“I like it. I think it benefits a team like ours. I think we have four really strong players that are really consistent.
So I think it’s better for the league in general for everybody to matter every single day because Sunday is usually really, really fun. At least last year it was incredibly fun in that regard. But I think it’s better for the teams and the players’ development, as well, for every round to count. I’m very much in favour of it.”- Rahm said.
