Jordan Spieth: “I don’t feel like I missed much” despite injury break

Jordan Spieth is ready to return to the golf course after undergoing wrist surgery. The 31-year-old will compete at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am tournament, along with several other golfers who have been out due to injury.

The American golfer underwent surgery in August last year after suffering a wrist injury in 2023. Spieth told reporters that he is satisfied with the direction things are going. While there are some minor issues, Spieth admits that things are going well.

“Yeah, things feel really good. I’m very pleased with how everything’s gone. I wake up, it’s a little tight still after putting it to use a lot the last couple weeks to try to get ready, but it’s nothing that can do any damage anymore. I just loosen it up and it feels really good,” Spieth said, as quoted by Deadspin.

Jordan Spith: I don’t feel like I missed much

Although the 31-year-old wanted to return much earlier, he was aware that his possible early return could only create more problems for him. Jordan Spieth spoke about Pebble Beach, believing it to be a great destination to start. Although he wanted to play earlier, he is happy that he made the right decision.

“It might take a little while, I’m not sure, but it’s all systems go now and I’m excited to be back. I don’t feel like I missed much because I think I only missed — I maybe missed one or two events that I would have played in anyways. It kind of just feels like the start to a new season, which I think is a good thing,” Spieth said.

Being injured mostly creates frustrations for golfers, especially when it comes to playing tournaments. The American golfer, on the other hand, does not feel that he missed much, stressing that he missed maybe one or two tournaments in which he would have played anyway.

He is motivated to start the season in the right style.
