Laura Robson tells why Novak Djokovic shouting at Andy Murray probably won’t happen

Laura Robson doesn’t expect to see Novak Djokovic shouting at Andy Murray but also thinks that the Briton won’t be the type of coach who will be fist-bumping and looking all energized from the box.

During his six-year tenure with Goran Ivanisevic, the Serb landed 12 Grand Slams and improved to an all-time record of 24.

But over the years – especially in the last few years of their partnership – there were moments when the 37-year-old would shout at the Croatian or be annoyed with his team when he felt they weren’t supporting him enough.

Now that Djokovic is set to work with Murray at the Australian Open, some wonder if the newly retired Briton will get the same treatment when things get rough on the court.

While some argue that the current world No. 7 needs to be himself on the court and let out his frustration, some think he has too much of a respect for the former two-time Wimbledon finalist to scream at him.

Robson: I don’t get the vibe that Djokovic is going to shout at Murray

“I don’t get the vibe that Novak is going to shout at him. I just don’t think that would be the partnership that they’d have,. And when they’ve competed against each other so many times and have so much respect for one another, I get the feeling that it’s going to be a much more positive set of emotions going towards the players’ box,” the former world No. 27 told Eurosport.

“But equally, I am also struggling to imagine Andy up on his feet, fist-pumping, the way that you expect a coach to in the key moments. It’s fascinating. I can’t wait to see it unfold.”

Since Murray is not expected to join Djokovic at the Brisbane, fans probably won’t get some answers until the Australian Open.
