LIV Golf continues where it left off. After reaching an agreement with FOX Sports, they have now gone one step further, signing another contract.
Namely, the leaders of the Saudi-backed Tour have decided to sign a contract with Seven Network, and starting this year, LIV fans will have the opportunity to watch this tournament exclusively on this television network. Already from the beginning of next month, we will have the opportunity to watch tournaments in Riyadh, Adelaide, and after that in various other cities.
Last year’s broadcasts of the LIV Tournament on the Seven Network achieved great results, with more than 2.7 million viewers watching LIV Golf Adelaide.
Chris Jones, Seven Network’s director of sports programming, is delighted with signing a new agreement with the controversial Tour, believing this could be a great partnership.
“The LIV Golf broadcast is absolutely world-class, and we cannot wait to embark on another huge year of action on Seven and 7plus Sport.
LIV Golf continues to innovate both on and off the course, and we’ve loved working with the LIV team to take viewers behind the stories of the tournament’s biggest names and see the personalities behind the sport’s most exciting players.”- he said, as quoted by Markets Business Insider.
Golf fans in Australia are eager to see LIV events in their home country again. Jones expects this partnership to bear fruit and deliver even better results than last year.
“We’re genuinely excited to continue our partnership with LIV, not only for the Adelaide event that has become a landmark on the Australian sporting calendar, but for all LIV Golf events which will continue to be broadcast live and free on Seven and 7plus Sport,” he said.
Renee Quirk shares her impressions
Renee Quirk, Seven Network’s commercial director of sports programming is also excited about the new chapter in the history of this television. They are especially proud to have a partnership with the Tour for some time, which has created great chaos in the world of golf.
Renee shared that in the past years, they had the opportunity to witness great viewership results on 7plus Sport, not only for the event in Adelaide, but also for other events around the world.
