Ludvig Aberg is known as a person who has enormous respect for Tiger Woods and his career. The Swedish golfer looks at Tiger as a role model from his childhood days, and sharing the golf course with him is Aberg’s big dream.
With Tiger Woods confirming today that he has undergone surgery, the golf public reacted to this news.
Ludvig Aberg didn’t seem to know that Tiger suffered a left Achilles rupture, but he’s sad that Tiger will be absent again for a long time. The young golfer wished him a speedy recovery, hoping for his quick return to golf courses.
“Yeah, that was news to me as well now when you just said it,” -Ludvig Aberg said, as quoted by The Golfing Gazette.
“Obviously it’s very unfortunate. But, yeah, I mean I wish him a speedy recovery and hope everything goes well.”
Ludvig Aberg talks about Arnold Palmer Invitational experience
When asked about his game and whether there was any area for improvement, Aberg explained that last week was a good test for him, and that his tee-to-green play was good enough to produce a good score. However, he stressed that what slowed him down the most was his inability to hit the ball from the side of the green often or hit his putts the way he wanted.
The young Swede also added that it was frustrating because every time he missed the green he made a bogey, which hindered his momentum. He pointed out that he was in a situation where he was “swimming in place” without making any progress.
Ludvig revealed in which aspect of the game he wants to improve, and he will have the opportunity to do so already tomorrow at The Players Championship.
“I would like to be able to get the ball up-and-down a little bit more often. I would like to deal especially with the rough… I felt like from the fairway it was fine, but judging the lies off the rough last week was tricky when it was first it was wet and then it got dry and then the changing in conditions.”
