Andrey Rublev is reigning men’s champion. A pair of two-time Madrid champions–Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev–chase a third Mutua Madrid Open crown. Reigning women’s champion Iga Swiatek, who was toppled in Stuttgart by 2017 French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko, resides in the same section as Ostapenko in Madrid.
