Nick Kyrgios is back to calling out Jannik Sinner but this time it came while responding to a troll who mocked the Australian for his winningless season so far.
Earlier this month, the 2022 Wimbledon finalist launched his post-surgery comeback after being sidelined for 18 months.
But in his first two matches back, he felt pain and discomfort in his wrist, which contributed to him picking up losses to Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in Adelaide and Jacob Fearnley at the Australian Open, respectively.
On the draw of this week’s Montpellier tournament, a small error was made as instead of putting No. 3 seed Flavio Cobolli’s name in the round-of-16 section, the tournament placed “Bye.”
“BYE has won more matches than Nick Kyrgios in 2025,” a troll wrote.
To no one’s surprise, the Australian didn’t let that one slide and he bluntly responded: “Bye has failed less drug tests than Sinner.”

Sinner refused to respond to Kyrgios
At the start of the Australian Open, the world No. 1 was asked if he had any comments about the Australian’s harsh takes on his doping situation.
Answering the question, the Italian pretty much repeated what he had already stated several times – he wasn’t interested in responding to the 2022 Wimbledon runner-up or anyone who believes that he was guilty of something.
“In my mind I know exactly what happened, and that’s how I block it out. I haven’t done anything wrong. That’s why I’m still here. That’s why I’m still playing,” Sinner said.
“I don’t want to respond to what Nick said or what other players say. I think the most important part is having people around me that I can trust, people that know exactly what happened. That’s all.”
Meanwhile, the Italian went on to defend his Australian Open title and improve to three Grand Slam titles.
