Patrick Reed aims to quiet the doubters in 2025

Patrick Reed, a well-known name to golf fans, is ready to do great things in 2025. Although the experienced player has been unlucky in many moments, his optimism seems to have never been stronger. The American is probably one of the best golfers at LIV who has yet to win.

Will that change in the coming period? In an interview with the media, Patrick stressed that he no longer wants to listen to such narratives, although he is aware of how difficult it is to win, especially in the fierce competition at LIV.

“Everyone keeps saying, ‘You are one of the best of the best guys out here who hasn’t won,’ and I want to get that of there, I don’t like hearing that. It is hard to win in golf. The percentages are always against you but someone has to win every week and the more times you are in contention you give yourself a chance and it makes it easier to win.”- he told Mirror.

The popular golfer wants to play at the Ryder Cup this year at Bethpage Black, especially since he has been absent for several editions. Reed admitted that playing in the Ryder Cup is always in the back of his mind, but he knows that his joining LIV seriously hurt his chances of making the team.

Representing the US on the big stage is what every golfer dreams of while building a career. The question is whether the 34-year-old will succeed in this.

“It is always on my radar the Ryder Cup. Making that team. It is going to be hard for us to make it on the US side. Especially when points are based off PGA Tour events.

Hopefully I can play really well and give myself chances to win golf tournaments out here and any time I tee it up, go out and play the best I can to show that. But yeah [the Ryder Cup] is always on my mind that time of year it comes around. Any time I can wear the red, white and blue it means so much to me, any time time the USA can go and play somewhere or for something I always up for it.”* he cocnluded.
