Patrick Reed, a 34-year-old American golfer, believes that LIV Golf will attract a lot of attention after it was confirmed that LIV matches will be broadcast on FOX Sports. The partnership between LIV and FOX Sports has been talked about for weeks, and this story has finally seen the light of day.
LIV executives realized that TV ratings play a key role, and they wanted to enter into cooperation with one of the biggest American TV companies, aware of what this could mean.
Reed thinks this is an incredible move for LIV.
Cooperation between the two parties could turn out to be positive for both LIV and FOX Sports. Namely, Patrick expects that this will bring new viewers and new fans.
“It’s an amazing move and a huge step up for LIV Golf having a network like FOX on board”, said Reed, as quoted by Golf By Tour Miss.
What we are doing and the product we are promoting is a good thing, a positive thing for the men’s pro game.
Having FOX on board means millions more eyeballs focussing on LIV and, let’s honest as anytime you get more eyeballs on golf the better is for the game we all love.
So, everyone at LIV is really excited”.
Patrick Reed: We go everywhere
It is known that LIV wants to be a global product. We were told about this by Greg Norman, CEO of LIV, Al-Rumayyan, the main man of this project, and many others.
Patrick Reed wants the controversial Tour to become recognizable outside of the US. Their intention is not only to strengthen their brand; Their wish is for the world of golf to experience a revival and attract new fans.
Will they succeed? Time will tell, but this is certainly an important step towards that.
“I know for a fact LIV and FOX are working on spreading coverage of our product outside of the States”, Reed added.
“There is definitely one thing about LIV Golf and that is, it’s global. We go everywhere. So, it’s going to be great for men’s pro golf, it’s going to be great for LIV and great for the players.”
