Rising star Coleman Wong reveals who prefers between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner

Coleman Wong’s goal is to qualify for the Next Gen ATP Finals. An event that has seen some of the best players in the world, including Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, triumph. The young rising star has made history this season, becoming the first player from Hong Kong since 1972 to win an ATP match. At the Hangzhou tournament, the 20-year-old reached the round of 16, starting from the qualifiers and, in the main draw, he beat Yibing Wu before surrendering in the third set against Brandon Nakashima.

Talking about Alcaraz and Sinner, Wong revealed the tennis player he watches with the most pleasure and the one most similar to him in terms of technical characteristics and attitude.

“I like watching Carlos Alcaraz the most. I like watching him for his game and the way he moves. I would like to be like him in the future. I remember playing against him in the Davis Cup Juniors when we were younger. It was my first match on clay and I faced Alcaraz, who won. It was a great experience. I identify more with Jannik Sinner because of his timing, his movements and the decisions he makes on the court. I really hope to be able to play the ATP Next Gen Finals, because that’s my goal. To see most of the players who have played this tournament reach the top 10 or 20 means a lot. I want to become one of them,” he told to the official ATP website.
