Rory McIlroy reveals his strict caffeine routine to improve his game

If you want to find perfection in your game, the key is to make changes in your life. Rory McIlroy, the famous golfer, has special methods to improve as a golfer, which include his diet, sleep, and other things.

In an interview with Golf Digest, the famous golfer revealed that he places a huge emphasis on the caffeine intake. Rory admitted that he tries not to take caffeine after 2pm.

“My caffeine intake is probably a little higher than I would want it to be, but I try not to have any caffeine after 2pm. I feel like if I drink a lot of caffeine, the effect it has on me isn’t quite the same as someone who doesn’t drink it a lot.”-he said.

The 35-year-old revealed that he drinks two double espressos a day.

“I probably have, on average, two double espressos a day. Usually one in the morning and then one after lunch.”- he continued.

The effect of caffeine

In recent years, more and more research has been done on the effect of caffeine on your body. More and more athletes strive for perfection, analyzing what they could change when it comes to their lifestyle. Avoiding caffeine has proven to be beneficial for many, as caffeine raises blood pressure, worsens sleep quality, and increases the level of anxiety.

In addition, there are many other benefits that removing caffeine from your life can bring.

Rory McIlroy obviously pays attention to the quality of his sleep, but also to other things related to caffeine.

However, some athletes also need a certain stimulant to get them going, of course within the limits of legality. It is known that some world-famous athletes use energy drinks, saying that it gives them energy and motivation before the match.

The important thing is that everyone consults with a doctor, gets to know their body as well as possible, and makes changes that will improve them.
