Tennis fans and food lovers, get ready! The Taste of Tennis is making its return to the desert on Monday, March 3, 2025, at the Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort & Villas. This event blends the thrill of professional tennis with exquisite cuisine, offering guests the chance to mingle with top-ranked players while indulging in dishes crafted by celebrated chefs.
A star-studded lineup of tennis pros
This year’s event welcomes an impressive roster of tennis stars, including Australian Open finalist Alexander Zverev, world No. 8 Qinwen Zheng, rising American talents Learner Tien and Alex Michelsen, Australia’s Jordan Thompson, and WTA No. 13 Diana Shnaider. Past Taste of Tennis events have featured the likes of Iga Swiatek, Nick Kyrgios, Holger Rune, Gael Monfils, Elina Svitolina, Sloane Stephens, Belinda Bencic, and many more.
Bringing his expertise and charisma to the event, former ATP player and Tennis Channel commentator Nick Monroe will serve as host, ensuring a lively and engaging atmosphere throughout the evening.
Culinary excellence by renowned chefs
Tennis meets top-tier cuisine at Taste of Tennis, and this year’s culinary experience is led by celebrity chef Angelo Sosa. With over 25 years of experience and collaborations with industry legends such as Jean-Georges Vongerichten and Masaharu Morimoto, Chef Sosa is sure to impress. Known for his restaurants Tía Carmen and Carmocha at Grand Hyatt Indian Wells, as well as Kembara in Phoenix, he brings a wealth of expertise and innovation to the table.
Joining him are 15 acclaimed chefs from across the Coachella Valley, including Omar Salinas (Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort & Villas), Eric Stenberg (Kestrel – A Richard Blais Kitchen + Lounge), Nestor Ruiz (RD RNNR Libations, Pints & Plates), Brandon Weimer (Brandini Toffee), Jon Butler (Kiki’s), Andie Hubka (Cork & Fork and Heirloom Craft Kitchen), Erik Dandee (Melvyn’s Restaurant), Charissa Farley-Hay (Owner) and Trilby Tatro (Wildest Restaurant + Bar), Eric Theiss and Dominique Valenzuela (JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa / Rockwood Grill), Larry Monaco (Heritage Palms Country Club), Jonathan Ungo (BaBaLoo Lounge), Alan Lopez and Jose Valdez (Wally’s Desert Turtle), Gina Mallano (YES PLEASE) and Tom Allen (Gelato Granucci). This year, Taste of Tennis proudly supports Shay’s Warriors, a Coachella Valley-based non-profit dedicated to helping cancer survivors and their families heal and find community support.
