The ATP Finals will remain in Italy until at least 2030, the ATP and Italian Tennis Federation (FITP) announced on Sunday. This extension follows Turin’s successful hosting of the prestigious season-ending tournament since 2021, originally slated to conclude its term in 2025.
The 2024 edition proved immensely popular, attracting over 183,000 fans, with all 15 sessions sold out. Local hero Jannik Sinner played a significant role in the event’s success, becoming the first Italian champion in its history. Sinner defeated American Taylor Fritz 6-4, 6-4 in the final to claim the coveted title.
With a record prize fund of $15.25 million, the ATP Finals has solidified its status as one of the premier events in men’s tennis. ATP Chairman Andrea Gaudenzi praised the tournament’s Italian legacy, stating, “Together with FITP, we aim to continue enhancing the experience for players and fans.”
The announcement underscores Turin’s growing importance in the tennis calendar and promises further opportunities to showcase world-class talent on Italian soil.
