Explosive entertainer Carlos Alcaraz turned break point into a wild tennis thrill ride.
In his second clay match of the season, Alcaraz conjured the dirt point of the year in Monte-Carlo.

Down break point against Daniel Altmaier, Alcaraz raced forward to flick an acute-angle drop shot only to see the German slide a reply down the line.
A streaking Alcaraz ran down the blurring ball, flicked an absolutely insane running tweener lob into the corner, recovered to the center of the court then finished with a flourish.
Watch the imaginative insanity all happen here from multiple angles:
An amped up Alcaraz soared through 11 of the last 13 games dismissing the German qualifier 6-3, 6-1.
The second-seeded Spaniard will face 12th-seeded Frenchman Arthur Fils in the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters quarterfinals. It will be the first meeting between the reigning Roland Garros and Wimbledon winner and the highly-talented Fils, who swept Andrey Rublev 6-2, 6-3 earlier today.
