Facing all-court acrobat Carlos Alcaraz, home hero Lorenzo Musetti conjured airborne magic.
Watch Musetti go full Muse Man mode with this soaring stylish backhand overhead that evokes memories of phenomenal frontcourt players Adriano Panatta and Patrick Rafter.
This leaping angled overhead moved supreme shotmaker Alcaraz to applaud the magic.
Despite that electrifying winner, Musetti could not withstand Alcaraz’s attack.
Reigning Roland Garros champion Alcaraz defeated Musetti 6-3, 7-6(4) to reach his maiden Rome final and deny Foro Italico fans the prospect of an all-Italian men’s final.
World No. 1 and home hero Jannik Sinner faces 11th-seeded American Tommy Paul in tonight’s semifinal. The winner faces Alcaraz, who has won 26 of his last 28 clay-court matches, in Sunday’s final.
