Gael Monfils called out gamblers in a very humorous missive on Wednesday.
First he called them out for stupidity in betting on a 38-year-old against 20-year-old Alex Michelsen in his first grass-court match of the season.

Gael Monfils calls out bettors attacking him after his loss in Stuttgart
“Really? You’re still betting on me? You’re writing that I’m sh*t. I know I’m sh*t. We both know I’m sh*t” 😭😭😭😭

“Really, you are still betting on me,” Monfils said. “You want to bet on me?” he asked. “You are writing that I am sh**? I know I’m sh**! And you still want to bet on me. Who is the dumbest between you and me? Come on!”
Monfils also called out those who left messages on his social media for their racist comments.
“Again I’m going to mention it. We are in 2025 and you give me the skin color. What does my skin color have to do with my tennis performance?” he said. “Open some books, do something, this time with skin color, it’s finished – vanish it from your mind.”
Monfils took a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 loss to American Michelsen at the Boss Open in Stuttgart.
The former World No.6 owns 13 ATP titles and 582 ATP wins, and has earned over 24 million in prize money – likely a lot more than anybody who bet on him on Wednesday has ever sniffed.
