Zheng Qinwen promotes new AUDI electric vehicles

Zheng Qinwen, WTA world No.5 and Paris Olympic gold medalist, has added another achievement to her list—becoming the brand ambassador for AUDI. A poster on Tennis Forum claims, referring to Chinese news sources, that the tennis star is reportedly set to earn an impressive US$25 million over three years through this new partnership.

Sharing her excitement on Instagram, Zheng posted: “Some great moments lately. Super excited to partner with AUDI, can’t wait for the car.”

To clarify, AUDI, styled in all caps and without the four-ring logo, is a distinct brand created exclusively for electric vehicles (EVs) in the Chinese market.

At this month’s Guangzhou Auto Show, Zheng stood beside AUDI’s newest electric vehicle (EV) concept. The partnership symbolizes more than a collaboration; it reflects AUDI’s vision of connecting with a younger, tech-savvy, and sustainability-conscious generation.

“Our new products will embody the best of both worlds — Audi DNA and Chinese innovation,” said Gernot Doellner, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG.

The AUDI E concept represents this ambition, boasting:

  • Performance: Dual-motor quattro drivetrain with 570 kW of power, accelerating 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds.
  • Range: A 100-kWh battery offering over 700 km per charge and rapid charging capabilities.
  • Design: Minimalistic yet luxurious, with aerodynamic lines, advanced lighting, and a Chinese-inspired interior featuring 3D lamella wood and natural lighting.

“Zheng embodies the spirit of AUDI: pioneering, courageous, and expressive,” said Fermin Soneira, CEO of the Audi-SAIC Cooperation Project. “Her achievements and determination resonate deeply with our vision for the future of mobility.”
